Hair...

I always use this Japanese site to get my haircut ideas.  A number Japanese girls have hair like mine, super straight and fine and I can usually find girls with my same face shape.  Plus this site has cute cuts.  So this is what I've come up with:

1.

2.

 3.

What do you think?

Cute, cute, cute!

I love this top.  It's so freakin' cute!  And it was like $2 at Goodwill.  I freakin' love Goodwill!  Shoes from Japan.

A slew o' outfits....

Since I've been lax in updating and I'm not sure anyone reads this anyway. Alas, here:
Top from Goodwill and shoes from Japan.

Got these boots at Goodwill for $10! Top from Japan.

Dress/shoes from Japan.

Doing my best Cyndi Lauper impression. She bop!

Leopard!

This is for my friend Lori who thinks I am only capable of ONE pose. Suck it!
I got a lot of compliments today. Also, hooray for lookin' skinny in photos! Top from Japan.

Slacker!

Yeah that's me. Without further ado, some outfits:
Both tops from Japan.

One outfit...

I guess I wore repeats last week. Oh well, here's one:

Does this make me look fat? I hope not. Sheesh! The overshirt is from Japan (and yes that is a Chuck Norris poster behind me). :D

August 26, 2009

I am sick...

I don't NEED any new clothes. I have shopping disease. I'm pretty sure it's been fatal to my bank account (since I don't have credit cards) many times over.

But OMG this shirt is magnificent. "Apocalypse Almighty." What does that even mean? And why is such an ominous phrase colored with smilies? It's so fucking weird!

And "I Need More." Need more what? Cookies? Clothes? Yes.

Weekly wear...

I'm a slacker. However, if more people read this shit it'd motivate me to post more. Come on my readers! Where are you? *chirp chirp*

I love my Fergie shoes. Pink star top from Japan.

My 80s revival meets J-Style look. Evangelion Aska shirt from Japan. (It came in a magazine!)

I got a ton of compliments on this top. It's from Target.

The final picture is me and how damn cute I am. Maybe you should follow my blog.

Hair...

Rasysa

This is where I've gotten my haircuts for years. Yeah, I love Japan. It's undeniable but I tell my stylists that many Japanese girls have hair much similar to mine. It's thin and super straight so it's easier for me to find styles. It's also easier to find face shapes similar to mine on this site. So that's why I've been using it forever.

I'm getting cut tomorrow. Here's what I picked out. Now my hair's not that long and I'm gonna have her cut about an inch off the bottom but you get the idea:

I can't wait to have my bangs back. Ugh my hair grow so fast!

August 17, 2009

Don't mess with me...

For two reasons.

One, apparently I never smile when I do my hair like this.

Two, this outfit makes me look like I have linebacker shoulders.

Don't mess with me.
I tried on the stripey shirt in Japan and then I saw that they had the cream sweater on a display with my stripey shirt. It was the only one left and it looked so good I took it off the display. Go Japan!

Here's what I wore this week...

Aside from repeat outfits you have already seen this is what I wore this week:

If I look jaded it's because THREE people tried to take my picture with my phone before it would let them. It kept going to video mode. *shrug* Anyway, top from Japan. (Way to take off your badge.)

Top from Japan. And if I look kinda smug in this one it's because the outfit makes me look skinny! Yay!

August 9, 2009

I wish I had more readers...

This can't be good for my self esteem.

Anyway, wore this the other day and I love lookin' long-legged!

July 20, 2009

Dove...

I love Dove products. More importantly I love Dove products from Japan.

This is my collection from Japan:

The blue one is from 2007. It's the standard smelling body wash so I've just been refilling it with its American counterpart. The only problem is Japan is a very refill friendly country and America no so much.

The orange ones are new this year and I looked all over Japan...literally until I finally found them in a drug store in Osaka. They smell so yummy and I'm going to be very sad when they're gone since we don't have them here. Jenn discerned that the stand up tube is a make-up removing face wash but I think the foam is also a face wash since that's how the magazine ad demonstrates it.

Today...

I got to prance around in a *J-Style* outfit before climbing into vintage for tonite. So here's the truth...I love the vintage look but it's a lot of work. MY superstraight hair usually loses curls and a good 90% of the shoes that go with my vintage clothing are cute but so painful (why I keep slippers at work). Anyway, to me J-Style seems so effortless.

So, I wore this today:

I tried a new hairstyle today from a Japanese magazine I picked up while in Japan. I shoulda taken a close up. I thought it was cute. The good news is our local Japanese market Fujiya sells magazines so maybe closer to September I can pick up some new issues. :)

Dress and shoes from Japan. Sweater was $6.80 at Kohl's (less with my coupon). Yay coupons!

July 16, 2009

I love Japan!

She bends over. You see her thong. OR DO YOU?

Seriously, I f-ing love Japan.

July 15, 2009

Engrish Part 2...

Well, I go the ab fab shirt this week and I wore it today.

And Jenn cut off my feets in this pic but it was the best of three. Regardless I f-ing love these shoes! Despite what you may think they don't hurt my feets at all.

Tomorrow I get to use my Kohl's coupon! Oh yeah!

July 12, 2009

Party wear!

According to Japanese fashion magazines you have to wear some kind of heel or platform with even the most casual of outfits so that's what I did. :)

Top and hoodie from Japan. The top is in wonderful Engrish. It says "Making us hilarious, shine me like the sun."

Bad news, I got ANOTHER $10 off coupon from Kohl's. I'm being FORCED to shop people!

July 10, 2009

<3

Here's what I wore today to Fujiya & Kabuki. I left the picture large in case anyone wants to take a stab at what it says. Jenn, of course, got it. It's from J-List. The skirt is from Kohl's and those are the Fergalicious shoes (which I love) I posted about a while back.

Hooray for looking skinny in photos!

July 5, 2009

Engrish...

I love Engrish. I do. I amassed a decent collection while in Japan. Kyle has the best pic of my favorite one. Maybe someday I can show you if he ever posts his pics. Grr...

Meanwhile, I just bought this for $12!

I don't even know what it's saying!

July 2, 2009

J-Style meets geekery!

I went to see Transformers today. I wore this:

There's really a perfectly reasonable explanation for this massive display of geekery. When I saw the OG Transformers I wore a dress I had made so I thought it'd be cute to snap a photo of me in this vintage dress with my ticket stub. This is just an ode to that photo.

So thanks to Japanese magazines I was brave enough to wear a lighter sweater with a black tank. I don't think I would have ever done that otherwise. Hooray for new fashion avenues!

I think my sweater (from Kohl's) is reminiscent of these from Ryu Ryu and More:

Thoughts?

July 1, 2009

Come on Monsoon Season!

Today was overcast and only 99 when I left this afternoon which made me feel good about wearing this:

I am always apprehensive about wearing this style of top. I'm not the world's thinnest chick and I'm always afraid that they'll make me look preggers when I'm def not!

Top and shoes from Japan, leggins from Kohl's and tank from Target.

So what do we think?

June 30, 2009

Today's outfit...

Instead of being holed up in mah house I actually ventured outdoors today. This gave me the perfect opportunity to wear something Japanesey.

The gray thing, hair bow and the shoes are from Japan.

So what do we think?

June 29, 2009

Stars!

These are scans from Ryu Ryu:

And this is the damn similar thing I found on eBay:

They had one in the colors like the Ryu Ryu one but alas not in size normal only size tiny. I failed epically trying to find the tees with the adorable drawstring sides. I did find one rather disturbing drawstring top that I'd rather not talk about. Anyway, it's shipping from Timbuktu so I have some time to find the tops.

June 28, 2009

Shoe hell...

I'll have to ask Rachel. I'm not sure but I think there's a special level in hell reserved for people with a ridiculous amount of shoes. I'll be there. No doubt.

Anyway, gladiators are all over the place, even Japan. There are only a few I can stomach as I think most of them are nasty with a g.

I bought these:
They're Fergalicious and one can't go wrong with Fergie brand anything being that she is kick ass.

June 27, 2009

Recent purchases (stateside)...

This post does not include the ridiculous amount of stuff I bought while in Japan. Those will undoubtedly come up at a later date.

Without further ado:
I love Japan's ridiculously skinny models. I mean really, Japan, really! The diet ads in the back of the magazines are also quite frightening. Forgive me if I'd rather not look like a starved person with their bones sticking out. Yuck.
The last three are from the same seller because she has normal sizes. No a 33 inch bust isn't normal unless you're 13.

Hooray for cute clothes!

Mobile Barcodes...

Mobile Barcodes

I need to get this off my chest. These things are everywhere in Japan. Even on my convenience store receipt!
Apparently San Francisco has brought this technology over despite its populous not having the capabilities for these barcodes yet.

Trust Japan to always have awesome technology.

Now onto the fashion!
