Christmas Illuminations...

A couple of weekends ago, my boyfriend and I went to see illuminations.  There was one place in particular I wanted to go but we ended up seeing some nice illuminations in Tama Center also:

Then on to what I really wanted to see was よみうりランド:

These illuminations were beautiful and I'm afraid the photos just don't do them justice.  There's something about illuminations that really gets me in the Christmas spirit.  I hope your holiday season is starting out magically.

Illuminations...

Before I board a plane tomorrow afternoon for the mother country, there was one thing I had to see before they all disappear sometime right after Christmas.

Japan is famous for some spectacular illuminations.  Oddly enough none of the mega famous ones are in Tokyo.  Strange right?  Regardless we have some pretty lovely illuminations.  My friend Kathryn wasn't feeling much of the holiday spirit so I asked her along and we went to two places.

First stop Shiodome:

Blue lights everywhere!

Sea of blue

White tree
Pink tree

Green trees

Projections on the Caretta building

More projections

Reindeer

Presents!

Santa sees you!

Christmas market

After Shiodome, we headed over to Roppongi:

Tokyo Tower sparkled for a bit...

...and then drew a heart.

Roppongi Hills

White trees

Beautiful!

Cars & Christmas

Tree lined street

Louis Vuitton

And giant spider!  Giant rose and regular sized Tokyo Tower.

Managed to photograph the one star viewable in Tokyo.

I hope you enjoyed this little peek at some of Tokyo's illuminations.

I hope that whatever you celebrate that you spend it with the ones you love and you have a joyous time.  Happy Holidays!

Holiday fun...

One think I love about AZ is the annual Zoolights.  Our zoo, The Phoenix Zoo, lights up at night during the holidays.  It's super pretty but cold.

So this is what I wore:

Collar eBay, jeans Goowill, shoes and sweater Kohl's.

Add a jacket and gloves to this too.  Brr...

Here are my favorite pictures from the night:

Does your town have anything like this?
