Warmer wear...

Hi everyone!

It's currently quite cold in Tokyo.  I am hiding indoors (since I had to wait for a package) and turning the heater on and off.  I am going to buy a space heater soon for my bedroom since the AC unit is the the main room.

Temperatures have gotten cooler and clothes have gotten warmer but this week I had a bit of fun with Halloween wear.

Monday:

Shirt Disneyland, jeans Colleen Collection (Target), boots Couripie.

Tuesday:

Shirt Disneyland, pants Uniqlo, boots Couripie, shirt Kohl's.

Wednesday (Halloween):

I'm a lumberjack in case you didn't get it.  (I know it's lame but I'm marooned in Japan without a sewing machine.)

Thursday:

Sweater eBay, shirt Uniqlo, skirt Goodwill, tights Tutuanna, boots Kohl's.

Friday:

Shirt/dress Treasure Factory Style, scarf & leggins Kohl's, boots Couripie.

My phone also found this missing photo from October 15th.  (It's weird when iPhone eats pictures.)

Sweater Kohl's, shirt Target, jeans Colleen Collection (Target), boots Couripie.

I hope wherever you are you are warm and happy.  Have a nice weekend!

Weekly wear...

Hello!  It's Saturday in Japan and the weekend before Halloween.  I've yet to see anything scary but I've been in my house.  I cleaned the place, did a ton of laundry and now I'm just waiting until 10 so I can get my bangs cut.  I also need to pop into the grocery store and pick up some things for cooking.

But I think you came here for the fashion?

Monday:

Jacket H&M, shoes Target, shirt Uniqlo, flats Target, jeans Kohl's, necklace Disneyland.

Tuesday:

I bought this jacket (?) ages ago and it's finally been cool enough to wear it!  It was on clearance too.  50% off!  There are no words for how much I love it.  Jacket (?) Putamayo, shirt Target, leggins Uniqlo, boots Couripie.

Thursday:

Sweater J. Crew, tights Daiei, shorts Goodwill, boots eBay (Shiekh).

Maybe you've seen this sweater before:

That's Zooey D. on "New Girl" (like the best show ever).  It was one of my birthday presents.  Thanks Mom!

Friday:

I know I need to clean my mirror.  It's done as of now.  Trying to get in the Halloween spirit.  Outfit was well received even got a "cute" comment from the lady at the post office.  Hat CanDo, jacket Colleen Collection, shirt Uniqlo, bracelet Forever 21, skirt Kohl's, tights Tutuanna, socks Daiei and boots Payless.

I hope you have a lovely weekend.  Stay safe out there!

Weekly wear...

I had meant to do this yesterday and do another today but the week, it seems, has already gotten away from me.  I've been wrapped up in blankets and my TV shows and warming myself with mug after mug of hot tea to fight this Autumn chill.  (On a side note, one of my prerequisites for living in Japan was access to my favorite teas.  Needn't fear, I am currently drowning myself in Earl Grey and Chai.  I still haven't found a suitable Jasmine as the one I drink is much too strong.)  The weather is so bizarre lately.  Yesterday it was quite warm and today a bit of a chill and tomorrow they predict rain.  I guess we'll see whether or not I'll be riding my bike to Japanese class tomorrow evening.

Anyway, here's some clothes!

Wednesday:

Sweater & star shirt Daiei, jeans Colleen Collection (Target), boots Couripie, necklace ???

Thursday:

Shirt, jeans & sweater Uniqlo, necklace Disneyland, flats Target.

Friday:

Sweater Uniqlo, leggins Wal-Mart, boots Couripie, bracelet Lattice.

Saturday:

Dress Momo, boot Kohl's, bracelet Lattice.

Sunday:

The weather forecast lied to me and it was way to chilly for this.  After about an hour outside, I wanted to be inside.  Dress H&M, boots Kohl's, bracelet Forever 21.

The best thing to happen last week was that I found a thrift store (a good quality one too).  It is right in my own backyard and I will be venturing there again soon.  It's called Treasure Factory and from what I understand they have various locations.  I bought a dress and two sweaters for under ¥3000.

I hope your new week is staring off nicely.  I for one am off to bed!

Another birthday come and gone...

I'd be lying if I said the days leading up to my birthday were filled with joy.  In fact, in true birthday tradition, I had an awful lead up to.  I spent a few nights in tears.  I acted like a crazy person and a so-called friend nearly ruined my birthday when she broke plans we made ages ago.

For someone growing up in Arizona, Disneyland takes a lot of money and planning.  It's usually drive there, spend lots of money on gas, hotel, swag and drive home.  Since moving to Tokyo, I've wanted to go to Tokyo Disney which is less than an hour away from where I live.  I wanted to go over the summer.  Funds were tight as I tried to set up a life here.  I decided that I would go for my birthday and that would be my birthday present to myself.  My friend had agreed to ask for a day off so she could go with me.  I was overjoyed!  The week of my birthday came and I hadn't heard from my friend.  Then she told me she got the day off but said she wanted to go another day.  Then she said she didn't get the day off.  I never got the true story because I stopped messaging her.  Surprisingly after all this another friend of mine told me she could get the day off (at the last minute).

In the end my Disneyland dreams came true so even though it was a tumultuous road leading up to it, I'll try to forget it and remember how happy Disneyland makes everyone (even big kids).  Among Chapstick and other things I also forgot my actual camera so the only photos I could snap were iPhone ones and most didn't turn out so bad.

Here are some of my favorites:

About 9PM after we got out of Captain EO it started pouring rain which turned into an annoying drizzle.

My review of Tokyo Disney is that it's good for being so far away from actual Disneyland.  It's much smaller in comparison and there are fewer rides and shops which means fewer goods.  One bummer about that particular day was that Big Thunder Mountain was closed.  It looked like they were doing some construction on it.  The next thing I want to do is visit DisneySea since it doesn't exist anywhere but in Tokyo.  All in all I ended up having a great birthday even though I am away from friends and family and Cheesecake Factory.

I hope next year is equally great.

New swag...

Hello!  I hope you're enjoying President's Day!  I have the day off so of course I am enjoying it.  This weekend it rained like crazy all weekend.  Then, this morning not a drop of rain or looming cloud.  Weird AZ weather.

Giant raindrops:

Anyway, here are some things I bought that haven't been featured yet:

Clearance coat from H&M, half off!

Crochet sweater from H&M.

Captain EO shirt from Disneyland.

Lace tank from H&M.
