Hello!  How was your weekend?

Monday:

Super cute this one eh?  Shirt Treasure Factory Style, tank Wal-Mart, pants H&M and finally neutral flats from Chiyoda, bracelet Forever 21.

Tuesday:

I guess the skirt of this top bells a little.  I didn't notice before.  Anyway, pants Kohl's, shirt Treasure Factory Style, sweater Uniqlo, flats Fergalicious.

Wednesday:

Ready to ride horses?  No, I didn't but it sure likes like I should be.  Jacket & necklace Forever 21, jeans Colleen Collection (Target), boots Kohl's, shirt Uniqlo.

Thursday:

Crafty outfit as dress and necklace were made by me, tights eBay, boots Chiyoda, shirt Kohl's.

Friday:

Fancy dinner party dress.  Dress from somewhere in Japan (I can't remember), necklace, boots, belt Kohl's, tights Daiei, sweater Wal-Mart brand.

Saturday:

Shirt Treasure Factory Style, leggins Kohl's, shoes Target.

Delayed clothes post...

You might find this hard to believe but I've not been super fashionable lately but I tried to wear some cute things.

March 31st:

Trying to do a little New Girl-esque outfit and it was quite cold that day.  (By the way I love these boots!) Shirt Colleen Collection (Target), jeans Karen Collection, boots Forever 21.

April 3rd:

Got a box from my mom with this shirt in it.  Shirt Wal-Mart, leggins Kohl's, boots Chiyoda, shirt Uniqlo.

April 4th:

I was only called "Where's Waldo?" twice.  So not that bad I guess.  Shirt Forever 21, necklace Lia Sophia, jeans Karen Collection (Target), shoes Fergalicious.

April 5th (day):

Unfortunately (like most days) I underestimated the weather and it ended up being way too hot for this and I was stuck with no time to change.  Sweater Treasure Factory Style, top Forever 21, skirt Goodwill (Target brand), tights Daiei, shoes Target.  In the end I really didn't like this outfit.

April 5th (night):

Off to a swanky party in my new Forever 21 peplum dress!  Jacket Goodwill (Kohl's brand), tights Tutuanna, shoes Wal-Mart.  (And you probably wouldn't have known I went to a swank party in clothes from Wal-Mart & Goodwill unless I hadn't told you.)

April 6th:

I underestimated the weather again and it was raining by the time I ended my day with my friend.  I had to buy another umbrella since I didn't bring mine.  Anyway, sweater and dress Honey's, boots & necklace Forever 21.

In fashion...

Since I'm sick, let's look back on my week in fashion (before the voice kill bug).  It was filled with Peter Pan collars (my favorite type of collar).

Tuesday:

It's kind of hard to see but has a gorgeous lace collar.  Thanks to my friend Alice who let me buy this even though she grabbed it off the rack first.  Anyway, sweater Seiyu, jeans Colleen Collection (Target), shoes Fergalicious.

Wednesday:

It's hard to see but the sweater is actually navy.  It came from Uniqlo with a horrid smell, even after washing.  Maybe after a few more washings.  Jeans & shirt Kohl's, legwarmers Daiei, boots Chiyoda.

Thursday:

Same royal sweater coordinated differently.  Sweater H&M, jeans Colleen Collection (Old Navy), boots Kohl's.

Friday:

Again hard to see but a sequined collar this time.  Unfortunately my hair kept getting stuck in the sequins which means this is a hair up sweater from now on.  Sweater H&M, skirt Kohl's, tights Daiei, boots Crocs.

No fashion this weekend.  I'm all jammies all the time.

My summer is officially over with the start of this week so I cannot justify living in my sandals any longer.  They are still the most comfortable shoes I own and I still maintain I was either a hippie or Transcendetalist in a past life walking through the grass shoeless and carefree.  I'll never match Japanese girls in that respect.  I still do not understand how they walk everywhere in sometimes ridiculous heels.

Today, I tried to do my eye makeup and I know I can make it look better.  I just need some practice.

Anyway, I am attempting to force it to be cooler by duping Japan with my fall clothing.  It hasn't worked yet and by Friday I was back in shorts.

Monday:

Sweater and shirt Uniqlo, skirt Goodwill (Gap brand), necklace Forever 21 and boots Kohl's.

Tuesday:

Had a freak accident Monday night and sliced into my finger.  I've been using dull knives for like 10 years, I have no idea how sharp new knives actually are.  Anyway, Shirt Uniqlo, jeans Colleen collection (Target), shoes Payless, necklace Kohl's and jacket H&M.

Thursday:

Love love love these pants from Forever 21, shoes Payless, sweater & shirt Uniqlo.

(I do realize that I am a walking advertisement for Uniqlo but their clothes are so damn cheap!  Need to pick up some of their new cardis.)

Friday:

My poor poor shorts.  The hem came undone part way (which I temporarily fixed) and then all the way when I washed them.  I won't be wearing these until I can fix the hem properly which means (unfortunately) hand sewing.  Shorts Kohl's, shirt Target, shoes Shiekh (from eBay).

Sunday:

Shirt Target, shorts Zara, shoes Fergalicious.

Today, I went shopping with a friend in Kichijōji 吉祥寺 the best place to visit that isn't anywhere near my house.  This place is cool and apparently the place where most people in Tokyo wished they lived.  I wish I lived there but I'd probably be dead broke if I did.  Anyway, today was screaming with deals (the best was either two tops for ¥745 or a pair of flats for ¥950).  I absolutely cannot wait to wear my new clothes but some will sadly have to wait for cooler temperatures.

Clothes...

Obviously, I wear clothes in Japan.  I try to be as fashionable as I can but them J-girls are showing me up all the time.  I wish it wasn't rude to take pictures of strangers.  In addition, I read that it's impossible to turn the shutter sound off on Japanese iPhones 'cause of the pervs taking upskirt photos.  Thanks pervs.

Anyway, here are some clothes I wore recentry:

As you can see, I'm standing on a piece of cardboard because it is a huge no-no to wear shoes inside your house in Japan.  Yes, even if it's your house.  Got a lot of compliments on this outfit.  Jacket H&M, jeans Kohl's, tee Uniqlo, shoes Fergalicious, necklace Forever 21.

Please note that while my hair may look nice in all these pictures, it usually ends up looking like crap within five to ten minutes of stepping outside.  I often wonder why I bother to style it and it may be ponytailed throughout August as I heard that was the worst weather Japan has to deliver.

Dress week...

Hi everyone!

I've deemed this dress week and apparently me in dresses = a lot of compliments.  I also forgot to post one from last week (which isn't super spectacular but cute).  Also, dress week is the perfect time for Zooey D impressions.

Friday:

Monday:

Dress XI, sweater Colleen collection (Target) and shoes also Target.

Tuesday:

Unfortunately I can't tell you where I got this dress.  I bought it 100 years ago it seems.  Anyway sweater Colleen collection (Target) and shoes also Target.

I hope your week is swiftly coming to a close.   I have to get off the computer now as I have some serious dental work soon.  :(

Difficult...

It's getting harder and harder to care about my appearance on the home stretch.  I really think that jeans and a t-shirt every day would just be so great.  Despite these thoughts, I tried to put together cute outfits this week.

Apparently it was Target week.  I just realized it now that I wore a lot from Target.  I used to shop there all the time but I've found that their prices are crazy these days.  Even Target is too expensive for me!

Party...

Yesterday was my friend Rachel's birthday party.  Her birthday is actually today.  She wanted to go to this biker bar but that was no reason for me not to look cute.  ;)

 

I was inspired but a very similar outfit in a Japanese mag.  Top Kohl's, tank H&M, shorts Wal-Mart, shoes Fergalicious and necklace from the now out of business Zizibeh.  My poor hair which started off way cute was super flat by the end of the night.  Curse my superstraight hair!
