I am gal...

No I'm not really gyaru.  I wish I could be but I am restricted by the confines of my job.  I wouldn't wanna wear supershort skirts there anyway.  Yuck!  In the outside world though I can be whomever I want.  I love that.  Anyway, enough babble.  I guess I haven't updated all week!  Oops!

Lets go in order shall we.  On Sunday my sister who is in beauty school cut my hair.  (No more poof yay!)

Cute right!

Monday:

I got a lot of compliments on today's outfit and not just the ones I was fishin' for.  ;)

I have been dying for warmer weather so I could wear this!  Dress, leggins and sweater from Kohl's, necklace Zizibeh and I can't remember where the shoes are from.  Though they are a great pair of shoes since they make my legs look a mile long.

Tuesday:

Ugh, the brown dilemma again.  Why aren't shades of brown the same?  So annoying!  Despite this outfit being lovely colors I hate this picture.  I did get some compliments though.  Sweater & necklace Kohl's, shorts & flats Target and top Goodwill.

Tuesday night I went in to see my sister at Kohler for gal hair.

I have been wanting to do this for sometime but have been waiting for my hair to get longer.  It's actually gotten quite long.

Back:

Here are some pictures of various hairstyles:

I really love it and it turned out exactly like I had hoped.  It's just the gal hair I wanted.  Unfortunately, I have received like one compliment and no "did you dye your hair" is not a compliment.  This makes me think no one noticed or no one really likes it.  Not like I care since I like it.

Thursday:

I am certain this is my favorite outfit ever even though it's way too hot here for it.  I found this ridiculously trendy and stylish vest at Goodwill.  Can you believe it?!?!?  Skirt also from Goodwill, boots eBay and top Wal-Mart.

So that's my week.  Sorry for the delay!  Did everyone have a nice week?

Then this came in the mail:

Yeah so I am a bit behind on my fashion posts.  So I have three days for you.

I love my sun hat!  Hat & top eBay, shorts Target, necklace Kohl's and tank Goodwill.

Monday back to the grind:

It was rainy later in the day.  Sweater from Forever 21, tank & skirt Goodwill and boots eBay.

Chilly Tuesday:

Sweater H&M, tank Goodwill, pants Kohl's and boots Zizibeh.

Some break wear...

Blogs are inundating me with news of Japan.  Different from the actual news these blogs view the quake and tsunami destruction on a more personal level.  It's all disheartening to watch.  I feel so helpless.  I did what little I could; I donated to The Salvation Army Japan.  I wish I could do more.  I would actually go to Japan and personally pick up debris if I could.  I am concerned about my June trip.  I will pretty much die if it's canceled.

Anyway, Kiki and I went for a mini ghost town tour of Arizona.  This is what I wore:

The top which is from Kohl's is not yellow.  Necklace is from Japan, hat from eBay, shorts are from Goodwill and shoes also Kohl's.

Here's a better picture so you can see the actual color:

And here's my favorite pic of the day:

♥ 日本 ♥

I suppose I wouldn't be a faithful Japanese blogger unless I blogged about the earthquake.  Unless you live in a cave or are without access to any news medium you know about the earthquake in Japan.

Last night I couldn't sleep.  I don't claim to be any sort of prophet but it was kind of weird that I decided to get on Facebook minutes after it hit.  I changed my status calling out to my friends to see if they were okay.  So far the news has been good.  None of my friends have been seriously injured or worse.  There are only a couple of people I haven't been able to contact.  My closest friends are fine.  Some are stranded.

I have NHK on right now.  They are urging people to get to higher ground and the the death toll is rising.  The footage is difficult to watch at best but I am glad I downloaded that app.  People are stuck in train stations and are camping out in their offices.  This is a difficult time for Japan and my heart goes out to all of those affected by this earthquake.

Dear Sakiko Ichigo and Atsumi Furuya, I love you and I am glad you are okay!

Breakin' the rules...

I like to call this my "breakin' the rules" outfit because I don't think you're supposed to mix prints and stripes.  Anyway, I think that's a rule.  Oh hell, I dunno but I did it and it ended up pretty cute.

Sweater Forever 21, tank from Goodwill (bought 100 years ago, worn 1st time today), pants Wal-Mart, shoes Target and necklace Lia Sophia.

In addition, the mags I ordered from eBay came today!

I am superexcited about the stuff, Hello Kitty headphones and a Kitson bag which since it's lined with plastic I plan to use as my lunch bag.  :)

I am so glad this week is almost over.  I have a whole week off next week.  Yay!

Wednesday wear...

Today I was actually surprised by how cute I looked.  I'm sorry this picture isn't the greatest quality but I hope you get the idea.

Pants and tank Wal-Mart, shoes and sweater Target, necklace Kohl's and scarf Goodwill.  I got the idea for the scarf from April HappieNuts.  They have so many other cute scarf ideas I want to try out too.

My Wednesday was okay.  Was yours?  I can't wait till Friday!

Tuesday woes...

So today was horrid.  Sad to say I actually had a better Monday.  How often does that happen?  To go with the wretched day my appearance decided to fall downhill as well.

Nonetheless this is what I wore:

I was going for the Audry Hepburn look but then I remembered that I am not as skinny as Ms. Hepburn was so I threw on the sweater over my stripey top.  Funny, I am certain I've worn it before but I got a lot of compliments today.  Maybe because I haven't worn it all the way buttoned like that.  Anyway, sweater from Goodwill, top from Wal-Mart, pants from Kohl's and shoes from Japan 2009.  I did those mini braids that used to look so great when my hair was shorter.  Now it looks horrible shortly after I take it out.  I don't think I'll be doing the mini braids anymore.

In other news I have new followers!  Yay!

Welcome to my blog!  I hope you like it here!  :)

Monday love...

Well today was a horrid day except for the high points which were quite high.  I have a huge crush on this guy I work with and I've managed to see him a lot lately which usually leaves me grinnin' like an idiot.  I'm not sure anything will come of it but hey he's nice to look at during the day.

Saturday it was my friend's birthday and I met her and some friends out.  I wore this:

I was trying to spring it up a bit though I was quite cold by the time I left.  I did wear a jacket though.  Top from Kohl's, tank & shorts Goodwill.  I got the boots about 100 years ago and haven't worn them much.  I can't remember where I got them.  eBay?  My hair looked pretty spectacular.  I love how it's getting noticeably longer!

Today, I wore this:

This is a horrid picture and I hate, hate my hair. :(  Overshirt from Kohl's, skirt & necklace from Forever 21, boots eBay and tank Goodwill.

Today was also an awesome day because magazines came in the mail from さきこ, my most favorite Japanese friend.  :)

I was superexcited for Happie Nuts because it came with the Gilfy pouch pictured top right.  I already found a use for it after spraying it with Scotchgard of course.  The bottom magazine, Seventeen, I don't read.  Of course, I'm not seventeen.  Maybe I still look it.  ;)  However, it came with these socks:

You think I would but I have no idea what material these socks are made of but I am obsessed with them!  They are so warm and comfortable.  Not like I'll need warmth for very much longer.

Anyway, that was my Monday.  How was yours?

Spring trends...

Here are some things you NEED if you're going to be J-trendy this spring.   :)

1. The trenchcoat:

2. The floppy hat:

3. Stripes:

4. Light colors, beige, tan, khaki, pale pink:

5. Wedges:

I've managed to check of couple things off this list already.  I am not so sure about the trenchcoat in AZ weather.  I like the style but I think it would be stifling here.  There are some ADORABLE wedges that I saw at Kohl's last week.  I hope they are still there and cheaper!  I got me a cheap floppy hat from eBay.  Cheapo in case I don't wear it which is doubtful though 'cause it's so cute!

Anyway, that's my rundown on spring trends.  I hope you find something in there you like!

Meh Tuesday...

Though yesterday was a pretty great day today is shaping up to be a pretty horrible day.  First, because of odd scheduling I didn't have a lunch break and I was fine until the end of the day when I was starving.  So like right after work Kiki and I went to Five Guys and I pigged out.  Feeling full and okay I decided I would try for a nap when I got home.  Major fail.  I just lay there listening to kids scream and dogs bark.  All and all it was not a successful nap.  Now I am feeling a bit sick.  I am sure it's partly due to the food and partly due to stress.  Ah stress the worst enemy of my digestive system.  Ugh.

Anyway, since it was supposed to be pleasant today (weather wise), I thought I'd dress appropriately:

Tank and top from H&M, vest from XI, pants from Target and shoes from Payless.

I'm going to try to relax the rest of the night.  Maybe I can get to bed early.
