4 days...

It's been a very restful and productive 4-day weekend.  I did manage to wear one cute thing on Thanksgiving.

Please excuse the bulge in the middle.  It's the unflattering gear on the top of my cargo skirt.  Thigh socks and sweater from Target, skirt from Goodwill, necklace from JCPenny, boots from eBay and tank from H&M.

Who the hell goes shopping on Black Friday?

It's Wednesday night and a little over twenty-four hours before many stores open for what's dubbed as "the biggest shopping day of the year."  Now don't get me wrong.  If you know me you know I love shopping but I do not nor will not go shopping on Black Friday.  I used to work at Bashas'.  On Black Friday the store was dead because no one wanted food and everyone was out at malls and such.  I think my least favorite thing about shopping would be some broad standing right in front of what I want to look at.  For Black Friday, multiply that times 1000000 and you can see why I don't shop on Black Friday.  Remember that Wal-Mart employee who was trampled on Black Friday?  I mean what the fuck people?  It's is too much madness for me.  In addition, I have absolutely NO IDEA what to get anyone this year nor do I have money to shop right now.  Black Friday never falls on a payday for me.  I don't think it would matter if it did though.

But I honestly want to know.  Do you go shopping on Black Friday?  And why?

Today was my Friday since I have the next two days off.  I did manage to cute it up a little.

Do these boots make my legs look HUGE?  Or is it pretty evident that they are big furry boots?  They certainly are the warmest boots I own.  Boots from Old Navy, jeans from Kohl's and top from Wal-Mart.  This was the second day of the braid out hairstyle.  As you can see it fell flat but still was crimpy.

I wonder what to wear to Thanksgiving tomorrow...

Wild girl...

Title courtesy of my friend Amy because she said I look like a real wild girl today.  I love this outfit.  I love my hair.  A total win today.

Tank $3 at Wal-mart (I bought 3), skirt from Target, tights from Claire's, necklace from Forever 21, legwarmers and boots from eBay and the star sweater from H&M.

Oh the week begins...

I was ridiculously tired this weekend.  On Saturday night, it was my intention to watch SNL but I fell asleep with my glasses and remotes on the bed.  In the middle of the night my remote fell to the floor and I woke up startled.  Craziness.

On Sunday, daughter and I went to breakfast and grocery shopping.  I wore this:

Adoraboots from Old Navy, top & jeans from Goodwill and necklace from JCPenny.

I used γ•γ‚‰γΎγ‚Š's hair tutorial to do my hair.

I think it turned out pretty spectacular.  I love my hair like this.

Today I wore this:

Top from Old Navy, skirt from Target, vest from Japan 2009 and necklace Lia Sophia.

P.S. - Thanks to Trixie my newest follower!

Crazy week...

It has been one.  I tell you!  Crazy at work and crazy here at home.  Last night I crashed out before 9:30PM!  I feel like I've had zero free time this week and I'll definitely have none this weekend.  So, I better get my outfits up now because there will be no time later.

In other completely unrelated news, I think I had a stroke.  I'm pretty sure that's not true but hell I feel like I did.  My face has been numb for about three days and I've had arm soreness.  I haven't done anything out of the ordinary.  It's kind of disconcerting to feel so odd and not know why or how to fix it.   I don't have time (or money) to go to a doctor right now so I'm just taking Advil and hoping it will go away.

Since I haven't posted at all this week, I'll be featuring all my outfits right here.

Monday:

I didn't wear my hair back that day but it looked like crap so I tied it back for the photo.  I think I like this outfit.  What do you think?  Sweater from Goodwill, shirt from Japan, skirt I made, boots & necklace from Kohl's and legwarmers from eBay.

Tuesday:

I had to wear my new boots but I left something out.  I meant to wear legwarmers but was running behind and forgot them.  Top & necklace from Japan, sweater from Goodwill and boots from Kohl's.

Wednesday:

My favorite thing about winter is piling on the layers.  (My face looks funny 'cause my photog made me laugh.)  Top and sweater from Goodwill, skirt from Target, necklace Lia Sophia and boots from eBay.

Thursday:

Not so sure how keen I am on this.  Right now, not very.  Necklace from Forever 21, sweater from Goodwill and boots from eBay.

Now off to watch "SoA."

100 posts!

I'm sure that's a milestone right?  Anyway, I think it's cool that I've been around for a year and 100 posts.

On Thursday, I had lunch with my mom.  Since it was pretty nice outside, I wore this:

The top (decorated by me) and the boots are from Kohl's.  Legwarmers are from eBay, necklace from Payless and shorts from Goodwill.

I went mostly window shopping at Kohl's.  I had a $10 off coupon.  Thanks Kohl's and keep sending them!  I was actually in a great shopping mood and then something happened and put me off on shopping.  So I mostly moped around the store looking at everything I couldn't afford.  I did manage to find an adorable pair of boots on clearance so with the coupon they were dirt cheap.  Oh, btw they were originally $49.99.  Yeah, never.

I love houndstooth.  I have a hat that matches perfectly!

During the window shopping I thought I'd take pictures of some things I liked.

So Kohl's has fur vests:

I tried on the middle one and I looked hideous.  In the background are the cropped military coats.  I tried on the army green colored one and it looked great but alas it's too much for me right now.

I've wanted this skirt forever:

Again, can't afford.

It was impossible not to fall in love with this:

Love it!

There were some other things I liked but didn't photo like this:

Anyway, I hope you enjoyed window shopping with me!  Happy 100 Posts J★Style!

Color & Nordic...

I lost a follower.  :(  I don't know how to get more followers.  I think my blog is interesting and I read and comment on a lot of blogs.

Anyway, this blog is not a bitch session even though I am currently in bed suffering from a terrible stomachache.  I'm here to feature two things I just love: color and Nordic print (which I can't really seem to find in the desert).

Here we go!  (Photo heavy!)

Tuesday/Wednesday...

Here's what I wore the rest of this weird week:

Orange sweater outfit V2.  (I liked V1 better.)  Sweater and tank from Forever 21, skirt Target and boots and legwarmers from eBay.

This is what I wore today:

Vest from XI, shirt from H&M, pants Kohl's and boots from eBay.

The story of my shoes...

So I found these shoes in a Japanese magazine.  I found and bought the exact pair on eBay.  Supercheap, of course.  They came to me with a broken zipper.  I tried to exchange them but they were the seller's only pair in my size.  They refunded a portion of my money.  I took them to shoe repair.  Apparently, even though they said a week to fix them they didn't actually fix them until the day they were due to me.  So a week = a day in shoe repair land.  I went to the shop twice.  I finally got my shoes and the zipper was fixed.  They sat in my closet.  I wore them for the first time today:

I'm not so sure what is wrong with my face.  I'd like to try them with a dress or something.  Top from YesStyle, leggins from Zizibeh, necklace from 109 and the hairbow was a necklace from H&M that I made into a barrette.

Tomorrow I have a second version of my Saturday outfit planned.

Weekend warrior...

I have very little money right now.  However, I was itching to spend my Forever 21 gift card from Kiki so we trekked up to Fashion Square.  I scoured the racks and was afraid I wasn't in much of a shopping mood when I wasn't finding anything.  I did find this bright blue giraffe print sweater which I loved but they didn't have it in my size.  :(

I ended up with these:

I didn't even want to try on the orange sweater.  I was so in love that I was ready to walk out right then and there.  I did end up trying it on and luckily it fit like a glove.  I also got a gray tank to match and black over the knee socks.  Can't wait to sport those.  ;)

Next stop H&M.  I really wanted the white tiger sweater but I can't afford it right now.  It's either $24.95 or $29.95 but either way, I need to eat.  I did leave with an adorable cheapo top:

$5.95 = win.

You'd think I'd be able to find plain black leggins in winter.  Oh no, this has been a nightmare and a half.  There are three scenarios: sheer, sold out of my size or ridiculously expensive.  Kohl's, where there are a lot of leggins, has the sheer and sold out problem.  I found a pair at H&M but I didn't want to pay $12.95 for leggins.  So, since we were out and about, I decided to swing by Zizibeh.  The girls working thought it would be funny to fuck around with the iPod, going back to songs they skipped and skipping a song halfway through it.  They were lucky I didn't think it'd be funny to punch them in the face.  So annoying.  Anyway, I did walk out of there with a pair of $5 leggins and some way cute jewelry:

That day/night my friends organizmong my ed a Light Rail Pub Crawl.  I was slated to meet up with them at about 8PM at Turf.  I was superexcited to wear my new clothes:

Obviously, both sweater and tank from Forever 21, pants self-mutilated and boots from eBay.  More than once I was told I looked "hot" so yay!  They all had shirts but I couldn't afford one.  However, someone bought and bailed so they gave me that person's shirt.  Even though I changed later, I still looked cute:

First time on the Light Rail!

I had a spectacular time and the peak of the evening can only be described as electric.  Hooray for new and old friends.

Last week I was searching for a necklace among my collection and was so frustrated after they ended up in a tangled mess that I just left them in a mound in my bathroom.  Today, I was determined to rectify this problem.  I was going to just put nails in the wall like my previous organization system but then I remembered that a friend of mine bought me these Hercules Hooks for my housewarming like two years ago and they have been sitting in a drawer ever since.  Well, finally put to good use:

Oh so pretty and easy to find jewelry!  Mind the gaps, I ran into studs.  Also, mind the discolored parts.  I had to patch.  Once it's dry and painted, it will be all the more lovely.  What a huge relief!

Well, that was a long post!  Now off to watch some "Dexter" and maybe "The Tudors" later.

Winter ♥s...

♥ Note: picture heavy ♥

Here are some outfits I just ♥!

I love how hats, fur and animal prints are supertrendy right now.

I wore this on Tuesday but because it was such a horrible day, I had to crop out my head.  Regardless, I looked awesome!

Boots & UK shirt from eBay, skirt from Target, vest from Japan and necklace from Forever 21.

In addition, I did some online shopping (my favorite way to shop) a while back and got these for $30 total!  That's $10 each!

The brand is 59 Seconds and it's from Hong Kong.  I bought them at yesstyle.com.  I love their clearance section and I've never bought anything from any other section on the site!  (Giant flower skull top, could you just die!)
