Lipton Tea: Special Edition!

Hi all!  It's officially fall!  The weather is cooler.  People are actually wearing knit caps for a reason.  And pumpkin things and fall flavors are popping up.  Japan doesn't get as crazy about fall as America does (pumpkin pasta sauce anyone? Yes, that's a thing), but there are a few fall flavors in stores.

Normally, I don't review Lipton in the bottle but I thought this deserved a special mention.

Now I wasn't sure about this but holy smokes Sweet Pumpkin Tea Latte is quite delicious.  I even love the Halloween decor on the bottle.  If you have the chance, try this.  It's so good!

November 11, 2012

Yeah sorry...

I haven't updated in a little bit.  I've been ridiculously busy getting ready for a huge event my work had.  But I have the day off which I've already decided to spend buried under covers and trying to catch up on my TV shows.  I have some kind of gunk (doesn't everyone right now) which is making me congested and hurty so I'm gobbling my dad's recipe of vegetable soup in heaping spoonfuls.  It's making me feel a little better.

This is just a quick clothes post and then I'm off to hide from the cold and rain.

November 3rd:

Hat from 109 Magazine, Shirt YesStyle, shirt Target, jeans Kohl's, boots Couripie.

November 5th:

Sweater Treasure Factory Style, jeans Colleen Collection (Target), shirt & boots Kohl's, necklace Payless.

November 6th:

Sweater Allamanda, necklace Kohl's, jeans Colleen Collection (Target), boots eBay (Shiekh), shirt Target.

November 8th:

Cardigan Treasure Factory Style, jeans Colleen Collection (Target), shirt Uniqlo, shoes Target and necklace Forever 21.

November 9th:

Shirt J.Crew, jeans Colleen Collection (Target), shoes Payless.  Another one from my twinner:

Except I got a different color.

November 10th:

It was our late Halloween event and this was my costume.  If you don't get this, I don't think we can be friends.  But here's a hint:

I had the umbrella and even the scarf and gloves but it was really sunny and nice so I didn't need either of those.  (Someone snapped a lovely pic of me.)

I was quite popular and many people wanted their photo with me.  :D

I hope you had a lovely weekend and are well (you'd be better off than me).  Back to bed!

VegeFesta...

Surprise surprise!  I'm a vegetarian.  Though, I've never been a big fan of labels so I usually just say "I don't eat meat."  However in Japanese it's easier to just say ベジタリアンです。Or "I am a vegetarian."  Regardless and surprisingly Tokyo had a it's annual VegeFesta last weekend which is a vegan/vegetarian festival in Yoyogi.  You may be also surprised to find out that I ate and then I ate some more and then some more.  (Okay that probably didn't surprise you.)  Oh I've missed fake meat!

Super packed:

Some fake chicken and ridiculously good ginger apple soda:

More fake (teriyaki) chicken:

Not so good Sheese burger:

At the fest I bought some veggie burger mix.  Later, I made this obscene burger with it:

In case you're wondering, that's blue cheese,  jalapeños, cheese bread, onion, mayo, ketchup, and mustard on that sucker.  Don't worry.  I didn't kiss anyone afterward.

I hope you had a lovely week.  The weather is strange.  Warm and cold seem to fight day after day and everyone around me is sick.  I might be staying in this weekend as I haven't any motivation to celebrate Halloween this year for various reasons.  It makes me sad because Halloween is my favortie holiday.  Maybe I'll get out of this funk and maybe not.  Who knows?  Happy weekend everyone!

Wednesday/Thursday...

I am beyond exhausted but here's what I wore the rest of this week.

Wednesday:

Both tops and shoes from Target.  Leggins from Kohl's.  The skirt I made.  It was a top originally and it was too big so I made it into a skirt.  :)

Thursday:

Cool weather rolled in last night so I got to wear something resembling winter wear.  Yay!  Tank from Love Junkie (Japan), sweater from Forever 21 and leggins and boots from eBay.

Daughter and I carved pumpkins tonite.  Mine's the one on the left.  :)

 Nite!
